Wedding elopement photography is a great time for me as a photographer because it lets me focus on what is important: the couple, their smiles and interactions, and the small details of dresses and rings and the scenery surrounding them. There’s nothing except pure, unadulterated, emotion. For a wedding photographer, it’s times like this where I feel I can explore in a totally unique way.
There are few places more scenic than the Austrian Alps – although I may be a bit biased, since I grew up in Innsbruck! — and with Veronika and Florian modeling I could let the whole landscape lay forth naturally. It was a unique chance to work with both close-ups as well as taking in the entirety of the surrounding forests and mountain ranges.
Then after the ceremony we were able to take a private stroll along the mountain paths, again giving me the chance to get up close with them. And to find those landscapes that are perfect backgrounds: colorful and detailed but far from overwhelming, instead just enough to accent the beauty of the couple.
