Lamijia and Philip wanted their wedding to be in a dramatic location, and it happened that just around the corner from his parents’ home was the elegant St. Charles Hall in Meggen near Lucerne: what an idyllic place for Swiss wedding photography. Nestled right up against a sprawling lake, the hall presented a range of dramatic and intimate scenes where I could play with the light, colors, textures, and—most importantly, of course—the couple.
A special treat this time was the after-ceremony boat ride across Lake Lucerne, from St. Charles to the Grandhotel National, where I kept shooting their wedding reception well into the early hours. With their endless joy it was great to work together, and I’m looking forward to my next wedding in Switzerland.
A special bonus: then, because they had simply no extra time around the wedding, they asked me to join them for a couples’ shoot — in Tuscon, Arizona.
