I love capturing interactions: between two people, between groups of people, between people and their environment. Kristin and Georg’s wedding gave me the chance to explore all of this and more.
She’s from Sweden, he’s from Austria, they met in the USA, and until the wedding most of their families hadn’t met each other. So, I got to capture them not just seeing each other for the first time as a married couple—I also got to capture the little interactions that came up over and over between their different family members.
Their wedding at Castle Leopoldskron, in Salzburg, was the perfect backdrop to this mix of cultures. The weather was beautiful, the building and garden and lake had so many little features that I could explore and use to frame, to focus, or to let fall into the background.
