Venice is, if nothing else, a city of fashion. Hundreds, thousands, of years have built it into the museum that it is today, and so I felt there was a lot to live up to with this wedding inspiration shoot. Since there’s so much going on around every corner, I had some special challenges working with and around the busy of the crowds and backgrounds.
Yet, I think I came away with some good photos that are clearly in Venice, but not about Venice. I got the chance to mix my two passions, fashion and wedding photography, while remembering: wedding photography is about the couple more than anything else. It’s with this in mind—the couple front and center—that I practice all of my photography, and I know it served me well in this shoot.
